The Last Hope Trademark

Another day goes by, another news story regarding Square Enix and the acquiring of a new trademark. Titled The Last Hope, speculation across many websites seems to suggest either a name change for The Last Remnant, which is probably wrong, or a name change for the American Version of The Name With No Name or even a brand new IP from the RPG giants. Square Enix Register New Trademarks

Some recent filings at the US Patent and Trademark Office by Square Enix have been revealed today. Kotaku are reporting that Square Enix have registered two names with the Patent Office. Nothing is known but the filings which are Sigma Harmonics and My Life As A King. Kotaku guess that My Life As A King may be a spinoff of SE's Wii Ware game. However what the two names may be in regards to will keep SE fans guessing and rumours overflowing. Source: Kotaku

SE registers "The Last Remnant"

At the end of April, Square Enix registered the name "The Last Remnant" with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The trademark document, available via the USPTO online search, unfortunately, does not give much away beyond the fact that it's a game. Rumors are circulating that it may be a subtitle to an already well-known game series, but nothing has been confirmed about this title. Source: FFMana.com
