The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is only a week or so away, but that hasnt stopped news and speculation from spreading across the internet about Square Enix.
In 2006, SE talked a little about a new MMO being developed by their team, however little else since then has been forthcoming- until now it seems.

Square Enix announced today its lineup for the Tokyo Game Show which starts on the 20th of September.
IGN have a list of Playable, Video only and what they call Kids Corner games that are to be on offer from SE which is outlined below for you to see.
As usual for these sorts of events, expect SE to have a surprise or two in store- with SE maybe unveiling something at the event itself.

"Over-engineered" This is Yoichi Wada, chief executive of SE, giving his opinion on the Xbox 360 and PS3 in an article in the Financial Times, reports the game site xboxer.tv
"Too many specs- and you also need a high-definition TV, a broadband connection and a deep knowledge of gaming – these consoles are mismatched to today’s environment. In a year or two years they will fare better,” he went on to say.

Something old, something new. Its what you can expect from Square Enix with their policy to remake and spinoff their games. Theyve announced their E3 list of games, which courtesy of IGN, is listed below for you.
The glaring omission is of course FFXIII, which to be fair to SE, they did say it wouldnt make E3. The list below include six titles that are playable at the event:

Square Enix: No Love For The Wii's Virtual Console?By Blitzballer 576 days ago
IGN have translated some comments by a Square Enix spokesperson and it seems that the company are somewhat lukewarm in bringing its games to the Wii's Virtual Console.
The spokesperson said: "We feel that the Japanese game market still requires [physical] media. Also, [Final Fantasy] and Dragon Quest are played by a wide range of users, from children to adults, so there are limitations when you consider the problems that we would have with billing systems."
