Taku Murata Talks Crystal Tools And Unreal Engine 3By Blitzballer 232 days ago
Taku Murata, the general manager of Square Enix's Crystal Tools initiative to help the demands on their developers and standardizing cross platform technology, has had an interview with the game site Gamasutra about Crystal Tools and also the newly acquired license of the Unreal Engine 3 for use in future development of games.

Looks like more news is being unveiled by Square Enix at the GDC and this time it was the turn of Taku Murata, GM of the research and development division.
He explained that the White Engine has undergone a name change to Crystal Tools, which is intended for use in future titles by the company. It seems it will be multiplatform with it being compatible with the Xbox360 and PC. Murata also revealed that it will be used in Square Enix's next gen MMORPG.
