Most gamers would probably expect RPGs to be longer than other genres of games and the Final Fantasy series certainly requires many hours of the players time in order to complete every sidequest, collect every item as well as the main story.

With the release date in Japan for Final Fantasy XIII nearing ever closer, Square Enix havent forgotten those waiting for the English version of the game.
The company have released images of the boxart for the European and American versions of the game.
They both look exactly the same with the FFXIII logo and Lightning on the cover, but with one minor detail. The ESRB rating is different. The European version is rated 16, where as the American one is rated Teen.

Square Enix have shared a little information on how you will be able to modify your weapons in Final Fantasy XIII.
After defeating enemies, they may drop certain materials or materials can be found in treasure boxes as well. Using these materials you can combine them, boosting your weapons in many ways. Andriasang report that there are over 100 combinations of materials to discover.

Final Fantasy XIII is set for a December 17th release date in Japan and Square Enix have just announced at the Tokyo Game Show, unsurprisingly, that a special PS3 bundle will also be available, albeit of a limited stock.
GameZine, a Japanese game site, report that the PS3 will be 250GB size and a Lightning Edition, as she features quite prominently as the design on the PS3.
It will be priced at ¥ 41,600.
