Having taken a break from the company in 2004, legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu is to return to compose music for Final Fantasy XIV and, according to Wired, two more unannounced projects.

In an interview with Wired, which touches upon many things, such as The Black Mages and projects he is currently working on, Uematsu had this to say on FFXIV:

“With some previous Final Fantasy games, I was so busy that I had to share duties with other composers, but this time, I’m composing it all myself,” he says. “To control the entire soundtrack, that’s easier in some ways.”

It's good to hear. I found FFXII's soundtrack to be....ugh.

So I'm glad he's coming back to help.

I wouldn't go so far as to say THAT, but yeah, you're not far off.
