Final Fantasy XIII Famitsu Scans

Famitsu's latest issue has some lovely scans from Final Fantasy XIII. Oogling of the heroine of FFXIII aside, they don't really tell us all that much... it seems that Nomura and the rest of the S-E development team is being pretty tightlipped about the details. Those are hawt. Although she's dressed awfully similarly to Yuna in some of them. Or maybe it's just me. Also, is that a stormtrooper I see in scan #3? xD |

Looking at the images of the in-battle scenes, next to the ATB bar, it says Lightning. Do you suppose that's her name, or her current attack? (If it's her attack, whoever was playing when those screenshots were taken must really like lightning spells... :lol: ) | ||

It's probably her name. Since another screen (#8, I think) shows there being a spell called "Thunder." ...weird name for a character, though. xD |

I totally agree It's as if they got stuck after they did FFX and X-2... it's like same song second verse >.> They've been declining (in my opinion) after FFVII and it's just that after X, the decline has sped up. |

The game seems to be action/RPG oriented, pretty much like FFXII (although I doubt it is an update of XII's battle system since XIII is being made by an entirely different team, although I could be wrong). Can't wait to see more of it in action. I wish Youko Shimomura, who composed the soundtrack if Parasite Eve, Legend of Mana and both Kingdom Hearts games for the PS2, would have been allowed to compose for FFXIII. I LOVE her works. Thankfully, she gets to compose Final Fantasy Versus XIII, also on the PS3. By the way, did anyone else notice that they mispelt "Blizzard"? :p |

This game looks incrediable, and the character designs are great. I'm already a fanboy of Lightning, and I don't even know anything about her. XD The male character from FF Versus XIII looks really bad-ass, I can't wait to see the trailer at the TGS in Sept. In any event, I like the idea of a compilation type setting, it gives us 2 FF XIII's for the PS3 which look stunning, right out of the gate. XII never appealed to me at first glance, but this one has me setting email alerts for news on this game on almost every website I visit. <3 |
