Olan Durai

Olan Durai, adoptive son of the famous Cidolfas Orlandu, is a brilliant and curious young man, determined to fight for his beliefs. He learned of the Church's masquerade with the Zodiac Holy Stones, he embarks on a quest for truth, wandering the land in hopes of finding evidence. On his journey, he stumbles on a thieves' hideout in Goland Coal City and his rescued by Ramza. After discovering both he and Ramza are trying to expose the Church to the rest of the world, he returns to Zeltennia Castle with little evidence, but still determined to uncover the truth.

He later enlists Ramza's help to rescue Orlandu from the Bethla Garrison, where the latter is held prisonner, awaiting his execution. Once rescued, he sends Olan back to Zeltennia Castle, ordering him to rescue the princess. Unfortunately, Olan is seriously wounded when he arrives at the castle, and is locked up by Delita, who releases him only after the Lucavi have been slain. Saddened by the news of Ramza's death, he hurries to Alma's funeral, only to stumble upon the supposedly dead hero fleeing off in the distance on a chocobo.

Olan is the author of the Durai Writings, a manuscript which was forbidden by the Church. He is burned on the stake by the Church for heresy before he can distribute his writings.

Omdolia Atkascha

Omdolia Atkascha, son of the late king Denamunda II and king of Ivalice before the Lion War, is a weak, cowardly monarch ruled by his wife, the true leader of his Kingdom.

Father of three sons, two of which died at a young age, and an adoptive daughter, who is actually his younger sister, Ovelia Atkascha, Omdolia dies very early after the Fifty Year War, killed by the Black Plague.

Orinas Atkascha

Orinas Atkascha, third son of the weak Omdolia Atkascha and prince of Ivalice, is at the origin of the Lion War, a war for succession. Whilst too young to actually understand much of the war, his regent, Prince Larg, proclaims him the true successor of the late Omdolia Atkascha, whilst his rival, Prince Goltana, presents the princess, Ovelia Atkascha, as the true successor to the throne.
