Azul the Celrulean is one of Deepground's elite soldiers known as the Tsviets. He possesses massive size and incredible strength... he is so strong that he uses a tank's cannon as his weapon of choice. In addition to his physical strength, Azul also has the ability to transform himself into behemeth-like creature. It was in this form that he laid waste to much of WRO headquarters.
Azul worked closely with Shelke while she was tracking Vincent Valentine, but when ordered to terminate her, he did not hesitate in attempting to do so. Obsessed with power, he told Shelke that her weakness disgusted him. Though Shelke escaped, Azul injured her sister, Shalua, so badly that she fell into a coma from which she never awoke.
He was finally killed by Vincent Valentine when Chaos emerged and impaled him with his own gun.
