The daughter of a teacher at the Shinra Military Academy, which she also attended as a student, she is strict and serious, rarely having time for jokes. She was recruited into the Turks shortly after graduation. One of the top students in her class, her specialty is marksmanship and small-arms, surpassing even that of her father. It was her impressive handling of firearms and her devotion to her job that gained Tseng's attention and eventually his trust and a position among Shinra's military elite.
She is very loyal and will stick by her allies in a fight unflinchingly. Her one flaw lies in her unwavering seriousness. She has a very linear view of things, and can be very stubborn about changing her mind on most matters if she thinks that she is right.
She also happens to be the older sister of Elena, a young woman who, several years later, is destined to join the Turks as well. They are, however, not on especially good terms, sibling rivalry having taken a large toll on their relationship. Although they are both dedicated individuals, there the similarities end, and consequently they do not get along at all. The tension between them is not helped by Elena's jealousy of her sister over being bested time after time.
