Minor Characters
Barret Wallace
The former leader of Avalanche, a rebel group who's goal was to stop Shinra Company from draining the planet's life energy dry. After aiding Cloud in the defeat of Sephiroth two years ago, he has set out to find an alternative to Mako energy. He is a gruff, but kind, man who uses a surgically attached gunarm. His weapon has undergone some upgrades since the great battle to save the planet, and now has the ability to transform between a weapon and a functional hand.
Yuffie Kisaragi
Daughter of Lord Godo, leader of the country of Wutai, Yuffie is a young ninja with a fondness for materia. An accomplished warrior, she uses a massive shuruken in battle. Having returned to Wutai following the battle against Sephiroth, Yuffie reports that the children of Wutai, specifically those infected with Geostigma, have gone missing. She later arrives in Edge to aid Cloud in a battle against the summoned monster Bahamut Sin.
Cid Highwind
A foul-mouthed pilot and mechanic from Rocket Town. Two years ago, Cid was an invaluable addition to the team, bringing with him the airship Highwind. When part of the Highwind was destroyed while escaping from the Nothern Crater, Cid was forced to build an upgraded model. He named the new airship the Sierra. In battle, Cid uses a spear, and is a formidable opponent.
Cait Sith
Cait Sith is a small, black, robotic cat built by Reeve Tuesti, a former Shinra Executive. At one time a spy, Cait Sith later switched sides and joined Cloud and the others. Though his current activities are unknown, it is suspected that Cait Sith has been aiding Reeve in building and maintaining W.R.O., the World Restoration Organization.
Nanaki/Red XIII
A lion-like guardian of Cosmo Canyon, Nanaki comes from a species with extremely long lifespans. Though he is nearly 50 years old, he is still considered no more than a teenager for one of his kind. Nanaki was, at one time, one of Shinra's research specimens under the care of Hojo. Cloud helped him to escape and he returned the favor by joining in the fight against Sephiroth. Two years later, he again came to Cloud's aid, this time against Bahamut Sin.
Tseng
The leader of Shinra's Turks, a high-ranking and elite special operations organization. Tseng was attacked in the Northern Crater by Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz, while searching for the remains of Jenova. He was subsequently captured and brutally tortured, along with Elena. He was later brought with her to the Sleeping Forest near the Forgotten City of the Ancient, and left to die. Vincent Valentine found the two Turks and saved their lives.
Elena
A young Turk, promoted to the position only two years ago. Along with Tseng and Reno, she was dispatched to the Northern Carter to search for Jenova's remains. When they were attacked by Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz, Reno was forced to take the remains and flee, leaving Elena and Tseng behind. She was tortured, along with Tseng, and left for dead near the Forgotten City. Her life was saved by Vincent Valentine, who recently had been spending a great deal of time in the area.
Bahamut Sin
The most recent incarnation of Bahamut, the king of the dragons. Bahamut Sin was summoned by Kadaj, to lay waste to the city of Edge, searching for Jenova's head. Kadaj ordered the great dragon to destroy a large memorial statue in which he believed the head to be hidden. However, Cloud and his allies arrived shortly thereafter, and battled and defeated the summoned creature.
