Setting the stage in Final Fantasy 11, the world of Vana'diel houses many inhabitants hailing from one of the three major countries: Bastok (Land of the Hume & Galka), San D'Oria (Land of the Elvaan), and Windurst (Land of the Mithra & Tarutaru).
These nations surround the central capitol of Jeuno where all races of man, beast, and mythical converge to do business and live life in a deep state of harmony. In Final Fantasy 11, the three main regions of Vana'diel are constantly in a silent war to expand their nations by small annexes of the many outlaying regions. Along with these quietly fueding giants, smaller more distant cultures also try to gain political dominance in this world controlled by the crystals.
A very versatile Final Fantasy 11 is the first game to employ you with the ability of choosing where you hail from and what job you are. Carrying the largest list of jobs in any Final Fantasy Game with the classic jobs making a great return.
