The daughter of high summoner Braska, Yuna followed in her father's footsteps and became a summoner. With her very strict upbringing in the teaching of Yevon, she believed that she knew better than anyone what being a summoner was all about. She set out on a pilgrimage that would test her courage and strength, with the help of her friends, who were also her Guardians, sworn to protect her to the end. She believed that with her sacrifice to defeat Sin she could alleviate the suffering of millions of people... but a boy named Tidus would show her what living was all about, what love can be, and that her death was not the only way to save others.
With his help, Sin was defeated and the Eternal Calm settled over the world... but peace came at a high price. With Tidus lost, Yuna returned to her long-time home of Besaid. But even in her sadness over his loss, Yuna began to change and grow. And when her former-Guardian Rikku made a sudden appearance with a sphere with a believed image of Tidus, Yuna set out on a new journey to seek the truth and to find a man that was believed to be gone.
She joined Rikku as a sphere hunter and became a member of the Gullwings, openning a new chapter to her life's journey.
